What others think about the PRILL training programme:
“Being involved in the PRILL workshops and producing the archipelago visual guide enabled me to have a greater understanding of Participatory Research (PR). Working in a local not-for-profit community organisation, I intend to conduct research within Aspire Learning, Support and Wellbeing (Aspire) and have discovered that this method will fit very well with my plans. (…) The islands metaphor cleverly helps illustrate the messiness of PR. I have personally attended many webinars and conferences with reference to partnership working and collaboration between the NHS, local authority and the Voluntary and Community Sector (VCS) and am constantly being made aware that the ‘VCS’ can be and is ‘messy’ (which it needs to be – as the one size fits all approach rarely works). I am grateful for the guidance and opportunity to take part in the PRILL, clearly the collaboration was fundamental to this project. The work was truly co-produced, and I believe will contribute in the bringing together of different people from different disciplines.” PRILL Team member
